Monument Requirements

At the Seeley Swan Cemetery, we know that planning a funeral can be a difficult and emotional experience. That's why our compassionate and professional Sexton is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to families in their time of need. Our goal is to make this difficult time as stress-free as possible for you and your family.

The grounds of the Seeley Swan Cemetery are sacredly devoted to the interment of the human dead, and a strict observance of the decorum which should characterize such a place is required.

All plots are held as burial places for the human dead and for no other purpose.

• If any monument, effigy, inscription or structure placed upon a plot is deemed offensive or improper, the cemetery has the right to correct or remove it.
• Lot owners shall have the right to erect any proper monument, once approved by the Sexton.
• Cement foundations are required for markers at graves, monuments or any other structure above ground. 

Important guidelines to consider:

• Size restriction is determined by grave location. A monument / marker can be no wider than 4 feet.
• Memorials equal usage of a grave and are in place of an interment.
• Consider flower needs when purchasing a monument / marker. Vases on a hearth allow for year round flower placement.
